This analysis is carried out from the position of a potential attacker (either white box or black box), and can involve active exploitation of security vulnerabilities. When performing penetration tests, we use recognized security methodologies including the OSSTMM (Open Source Security Testing Methodology Manual) and NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Guidelines.
